The four-day Vedic Meditation course
Learn Vedic Meditation.
Learn to rest, properly.
A simple, effortless technique that lets stress move through your nervous system, instead of staying there.
20 minutes, twice a day. Yours for life.
No apps. No guided tracks. No trying to clear your mind.
Just you, a mantra selected for you, and the deep rest your body has been asking for.
In person · Small groups · Four days · Support for life
Sound familiar?
You've tried all the things. You're doing all the things. And you're still exhausted.
You eat well. You move your body. You've tried the apps, the breathwork, the journalling.
And still.
- You wake up tired, even after a full night's sleep.
- You hit the 2pm slump with your heart racing and your eyelids heavy.
- You spend Sunday racing the clock for a moment of rest before Monday.
- Your mind keeps running long after your body has stopped.
- Holidays help, but the calm never seems to last. Within a week of being back at work, you feel like you need another one.
None of this means you're failing. Your nervous system has simply been carrying more than it's had the chance to put down.
And it's ready for a different kind of rest.
A gentle rebellion
You don't need less life.
You need more room for it.
Life will always ask things of you. Your nervous system is designed to respond to pressure, change and demand.
The trouble is, most of us never fully clear what builds up. So it lingers. From yesterday. From last week. From years of pushing through.
You don't need to step away from your life, or try harder to stay calm. You need a simple, repeatable way to let it settle. That's what this practice gives you.
What is Vedic Meditation?
Meditation, without the struggle.
You sit comfortably, close your eyes and silently use a mantra chosen for you. The mantra is simply a sound your mind can settle into, and as it does, your thinking naturally quietens. The body drops into a deep state of rest, and accumulated stress has the chance to let go.
It isn't concentration. It isn't control. It isn't mindfulness.
It's the opposite of effort.
Vedic Meditation comes from the Vedas, an ancient body of knowledge from India, passed carefully from teacher to student for thousands of years. Today it's taught in a down-to-earth, practical way. You don't need to change your beliefs or be spiritual. Just a comfortable seat and 20 minutes.
You don't need
- To clear your mind
- To concentrate or focus
- To sit cross-legged on the floor
- To be flexible, patient or spiritual
- Years of practice before it helps
- An app, a voice in your ear or a 30-step routine
What it is
- Effortless. There's no good or bad meditation, only practice
- Done sitting comfortably, anywhere
- Self-sufficient, once you've learned
- Deeply restful for body and mind
- A skill you keep for the rest of your life
The practice, simply
20 minutes in the bank. All day in the marketplace.

Support for life
How the course works
Four days. One unhurried journey.
It begins with a relaxed intro call, so you can ask anything and see if it feels right.
Then four in-person sessions of 60 to 90 minutes, with plenty of space for questions.
Day one
Receiving your mantra
A session where you receive a mantra selected for you and learn the technique. We'll have your first meditation together, and you get to feel how simple it is.
Day two
Setting the scene
The practical side. How to set yourself up so your practice feels easy, and what you might start to notice over the days, weeks and months ahead.
Day three
Understanding stress release
What's happening in your body and nervous system when you meditate, and why stress leaves the way it does. We can go as nerdy as the group likes here.
Day four
Making it yours
How to fit your practice into real life, and what to expect in the weeks and months ahead. You'll leave confident to meditate on your own, with support and guidance for life.
What people often notice
Life doesn't get less busy. You just meet it differently.
A steadier baseline
Life still happens. It just doesn't knock you over in the same way. Hard feelings pass with less friction.
Easier sleep
Deep rest during the day helps many people find rest more easily at night.
More energy and clarity
Less mental overload. More space in your mind, and more left in the tank at the end of the day.
Coming back to yourself
It's not about becoming someone new. It's about feeling like you again, and really being with the people you love instead of halfway through your to-do list.
Less reactive, more joy
A little more space between what happens and how you respond. More room for the good things. Laughing more. Taking life a little less seriously.
A body that softens
Less tension held in your shoulders, jaw and gut. When the mind rests, the body gets to let go too.
Everyone's experience is different. Meditation is one support inside a whole life, not a replacement for medical or psychological care.
Kind words
In their own words.
“
Since starting meditation, I sleep better, feel more balanced and find myself less caught up in the chaos of stressful situations. I’m also more patient in conversations, listening more and reacting less. What a difference!

Jocelyn is very knowledgeable and always made me feel comfortable throughout the course. Such a pleasure being taught by her and having her share her wisdom to guide and support me through this process.
I was sceptical before starting but it hasn’t even been a week and I am already noticing a huge difference. Cannot wait to see the long-term benefits over the months and years to come!

Jocelyn is a generous and encouraging teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about meditation with her and would highly recommend.

Your teacher
Hi, I'm Jocelyn Lea.
I'll be with you every step.
I started meditating because I was tired of knowing all the reasons I was stressed, doing all the things to manage it, and still feeling like I was constantly vibrating with stress. On the outside, I was functioning. On the inside, my nervous system never really settled.
Vedic Meditation gave me more joy, more play, more patience and more space. It didn't change my life or make it less busy. It changed how I felt living it. Instead of just surviving, I started to thrive.
After over 10 years as a Physiotherapist, I understood the impact of physical stress on the body. Experiencing meditation's effects on my own mental, emotional and physical wellbeing inspired me to train as a teacher. I've now been meditating for over five years and teaching for over a year, with ongoing training, study and mentoring.
I'm also an Operations Manager, and I bring the same practical, grounded approach to meditation that I bring to my clinical work and leadership.
So....
Whether you're navigating a busy career, caring for others, moving through a big life change or simply feeling like there's never enough space to catch your breath, I hope you find something here that helps.
You don't need to do more to be more.
Sometimes, you just need a little space to be.
Go gently 🤍

A fair question
Why does it cost to learn meditation?
In the Vedic tradition there's a beautiful idea called Guru Dakshina: an offering of gratitude to your teacher for the knowledge they share. It's not about paying for spirituality. It's about honouring the exchange of time, training and care.
Your course fee supports the depth of training behind the teaching, ongoing mentorship, the preservation of the technique, and your lifetime access to support and guidance.
And when you invest, you tend to show up differently. Not from pressure. From value.
Courses start at $700. I use a sliding scale because cost shouldn't be the reason you don't learn. The sliding scale allows it to be accessible and an investment for everyone, no matter your income.
We'll find what works for you on your intro call.

I've tried meditating before and couldn't do it. Will this be different?
Many people who say this were taught techniques that rely on concentration or control. Vedic Meditation works differently. There's nothing to force, and there's no good or bad meditation. Many people who "can't meditate" find this is the first practice that actually sticks.
My mind is really busy. Is that a problem?
Not at all. Thoughts are a normal part of the practice. You don't need to stop them. You'll learn how to let them come and go, without effort.
Is it religious?
No. You don't need to believe anything or change anything about your life. It's a practical technique, and it works whether or not you have a spiritual practice. It's a tool for releasing stress, in the same way an exercise program is a tool for building strength.
Do I need to sit on the floor?
No. You'll sit comfortably, usually in a chair or on a couch, with your back supported. If your body needs a little extra support, we'll find a position that works for you.
Twice a day sounds like a lot. Will I really find the time?
It can sound like a lot. But most people find it quickly becomes the easiest and most nourishing part of their day. Treat it like an appointment with your most important client. You.
What if I can't make one of the sessions?
Ideally you'll attend all four, as each one builds on the last. If something comes up, get in touch and we'll talk it through.
If I'm calmer, won't I care less?
In my experience, it's the opposite. I don't care less. I actually feel more. I'm just less knocked around by it.
Couldn't I just learn it from an app?
Vedic Meditation is taught in person, with a mantra chosen for you and personal instruction over four days. That's what makes it yours for life, without needing an app, a voice in your ear or anything else.
Is this the same as TM?
They share the same roots. Vedic Meditation is taught independently of the Transcendental Meditation organisations, and I'm not affiliated with them. Read the TM disclaimer.
