Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 27 October 2026

I've written these in plain English, because you deserve to understand what you're agreeing to.

In short: look after your health, keep what's personal to you personal, be kind in shared spaces, and talk to me if something isn't right.

Who you're dealing with

This website, and everything offered through it, is run by Jocelyn MacRae, known as Jocelyn Lea, trading as Jocelyn.Coaching (ABN 64 876 935 818), based in Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.

When I say "I", "me" or "my", that's me. When I say "you", that's you.

These terms apply when you use this website, book a course or call, join a waitlist or newsletter, or buy anything from me. By doing any of those things, you agree to them. When you book or buy online, you'll be asked to tick a box at checkout to confirm you've read and agree to these terms.

What I offer

  • In-person Vedic Meditation courses in Darwin, Perth and On tour
  • Free intro calls, group meditations and a monthly newsletter
  • Bite Sized Wisdom, a membership of monthly Vedic wisdom for Vedic meditators, shared on WhatsApp
  • 1:1 coaching and mentoring sessions, booked online
  • Online programs, when they open

Each offer may have its own details, like dates, inclusions and price, on its page or in your booking confirmation. If those details are different to these terms, the offer details apply for that offer. Nothing in them takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Who my courses are for

My courses, programs and Bite Sized Wisdom are for adults aged 18 and over. If someone under the age of 18 would like to complete a course, consent from their parent or guardian is required.

Before your course, I'll ask you to fill in a short questionnaire. Please answer honestly. If I believe a course isn't right for you at this time, for your safety, I may suggest we wait or recommend other support first. If that happens after you've paid, you can choose a full refund or a later course.

Your health comes first

I'm a registered Physiotherapist, and I teach Vedic Meditation as a separate service from my physiotherapy work.

During my courses, in my 1:1 sessions, and in any support I offer afterwards, I don't provide physiotherapy advice, assessment, diagnosis, management or prescription. No physiotherapist and patient relationship is created. If you need physiotherapy, please see a physiotherapist separately.

Because my Vedic Meditation courses and 1:1 coaching and mentoring sessions aren't a physiotherapy service, they aren't eligible for private health insurance rebates, and physiotherapy funding can't be used to pay for them.

Nothing on this website, in my courses and programs, or in my emails is medical, psychological or physiotherapy advice. It isn't a replacement for care from your own health professionals.

Vedic Meditation is gentle, and most people find it deeply restful. Even so, if you're living with a mental health condition, a history of trauma, or a significant physical health condition, or you're pregnant, please speak with your doctor before you start. And let me know before your course, so I can support you well. Keep taking any medication and following any care plan you already have.

Always meditate sitting comfortably, somewhere safe. Never while driving, or doing anything that needs your attention.

If you're in crisis or feel unsafe, please don't wait for me.

  • Emergency: 000
  • Lifeline: 13 11 14 (24 hours)
  • 13YARN, for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people: 13 92 76 (24 hours)
  • Suicide Call Back Service: 1300 659 467
  • Beyond Blue: 1300 22 4636

Everyone is welcome

Whatever your background, culture, beliefs, gender, sexuality, age, body or ability, you're welcome here.

If there's anything that would help you feel more comfortable or able to take part, please tell me. I'll do my best to make it work.

Price and paying

Course prices start at $700 and are offered on a sliding scale. When you register, you'll see a suggested fee for each income bracket. You choose the one that fits your situation.

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST.

You pay a $350 deposit online when you book, and the balance on the first day of your course. Payments are made through Kajabi, using Stripe. Your place is confirmed once I've received your deposit. Groups are small, so places are limited. See the extra terms for booking a course below.

Changes, transfers and refunds

In-person courses

Once you've paid, I don't offer refunds if you change your mind. But life happens. If you can't make your course, tell me before it starts, and you can transfer to another course within 12 months of your original course date, at no cost.

If you start a course but can't finish it, you're welcome to complete the remaining sessions in a later course within 12 months of your original course date.

If I need to change or cancel a course, for illness, venue issues, extreme weather like a cyclone, or anything else outside my control, I'll offer you a place on another date or a full refund. Your choice.

Online programs and Bite Sized Wisdom

The same applies here. Once you've paid, I don't offer refunds if you change your mind. Any renewal and cancellation terms will be shown clearly on each offer's page and checkout before you pay.

1:1 coaching and mentoring sessions

Once you've paid, I don't offer refunds if you change your mind. You can change your session time with at least 24 hours' notice. See the extra terms for 1:1 sessions below.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

My services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away. If there's a major failure with a service I provide, you're entitled to cancel and get a refund for the unused part, or to compensation for its reduced value. You may also be entitled to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

To ask about a transfer or refund, just email me at hello@jocelynlea.com.

In the room

A small group works best when everyone feels safe. So I ask that you:

  • Keep what others share in the course, in the course
  • Don't record, photograph or film sessions without permission from me and the group
  • Ask before any physical contact, even a hug
  • Don't attend under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Be kind, and respect each other's boundaries

You're always free to step out, pause or skip any part of a session, with no explanation needed.

If someone harasses, threatens or endangers others, or keeps disrupting the group after I've raised it with them, I may ask them to leave the course or Bite Sized Wisdom. Where that happens, I'll refund the sessions they haven't attended, less any costs I can't recover.

Your mantra, and ongoing support

Your mantra is given to you personally. In the Vedic tradition, it's kept private. Please don't share it or pass it on. It's yours.

"Support for life" means the support of a Vedic Meditation teacher to check your mantra, and access to group meditations with Vedic Meditation teachers across the globe.

Once you've completed a course, you're welcome to reach out to me for guidance on your practice, for as long as I'm teaching. You can also join group meditations and resit the course with myself or the wider Vedic Meditation community, wherever you are in the world.

Group meditations run by other teachers are organised by them, not by me. I am not responsible for any advice, information or teachings provided by other teachers. How I offer support, including group meditations, may change over time.

Online programs and Bite Sized Wisdom

When you buy an online program, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for your own wellbeing.

Please don't share your login, pass on the audio or materials, or use them to teach others or run your own programs.

In Bite Sized Wisdom, the same care applies as in the room. No harassment, hate, spam or selling, and no sharing other members' stories outside the group.

Booking a course and your deposit

These are the extra terms for booking an in-person Vedic Meditation course. They sit alongside the rest of these terms, and if the two ever differ, these ones apply to course bookings.

How booking works

Booking starts with a free intro call. If the course feels right for you, I'll email you a link to my booking page. There, you choose your course dates and share your name, email, phone number and where you live. You're then taken to secure checkout to pay your deposit.

Filling in the booking page on its own doesn't hold your place. Your place is confirmed once your deposit has come through, and you'll receive a receipt by email.

Your deposit and the balance

The deposit is $350 AUD, including GST. It's a single payment, made through Kajabi using Stripe. It's part of your course fee, not an extra charge. The balance of your course fee is paid on the first day of your course.

After you've paid

I'll be in touch with the venue address and a short questionnaire to complete before your course. Please see "Who my courses are for" above.

Changing your dates

If you can't make the dates you chose, tell me before your course starts. You can transfer your place, and your deposit, to another course within 12 months of your original course date, at no cost.

Refunds

Once you've paid your deposit, I don't offer refunds if you change your mind, in line with the rest of these terms. If I need to change or cancel your course, or I believe a course isn't right for you at this time, you can choose a full refund or a place on another date. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law stay exactly as they are.

Your details

I use the details you share on the booking page to confirm your place, contact you about your course and look after your booking. My Privacy Policy explains how I look after your personal information.

Bite Sized Wisdom membership

These are the extra terms for Bite Sized Wisdom. They sit alongside the rest of these terms, and if the two ever differ, these ones apply to Bite Sized Wisdom.

What it is

Bite Sized Wisdom is a membership where I share practical Vedic knowledge on WhatsApp. Each month has one Vedic theme. As a member, you'll receive 2 voice notes a week, each 5 to 20 minutes long, a monthly invitation to notice something in your everyday life, and a monthly group meditation where we talk through your questions.

I aim to send both voice notes every week and hold the group meditation every month. If I need to skip or move one, because of illness, travel or anything else outside my control, I'll let you know when I can.

You don't need to listen to every voice note. Listen when you can, and leave the rest. You'll need WhatsApp on your phone to take part.

Who it's for

Bite Sized Wisdom is for Vedic meditators only, aged 18 and over. To join, you must have learned Vedic Meditation and received your mantra, from me or another Vedic Meditation teacher. By joining, you confirm that you have.

When you join, I'll ask for your WhatsApp number, your Instagram handle, the name of your Vedic Meditation teacher and the year you learned. I use these to add you to the group, to confirm you've learned Vedic Meditation and to stay connected with you.

If you haven't learned yet, you're welcome to join one of my courses. Or contact me and I'll connect you with another teacher. If you're not sure whether Bite Sized Wisdom is right for you, please talk to me before you join.

When you join

New members join on the first weekend of each month. Your membership begins on the next one after you pay. Before then, I'll email you your invitation to the WhatsApp group. You'll start with that month's theme and move through the year from there.

Paying and renewing

You can join in three ways. All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST. Payments are made through Kajabi, using Stripe.

  • Monthly, $36 a month. Your first payment is taken when you join and covers your first month. After that, your membership renews automatically, and $36 is charged every month, on the same date as your first payment, until you cancel.
  • 3 months, $108 paid upfront. A single payment that covers 3 months. It doesn't renew.
  • 12 months, $333 paid upfront. A single payment that covers 12 months. It doesn't renew.

Your months are counted from the first weekend you join. When a 3 or 12 month membership ends, you're welcome to join again.

If I ever change the monthly price, I'll email you at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then without penalty. A price change won't affect 3 or 12 months you've already paid for. If a monthly payment fails, I'll let you know so you can update your payment details. If it can't be sorted out, I may pause or end your membership until it is.

Cancelling

To stop a monthly membership renewing, you need to cancel before your next payment is due. If you cancel in time, you won't be charged again, and you'll stay in the group until the end of the month you've already paid for.

The easiest way to cancel is to email me at hello@jocelynlea.com. Please do it a few days before your renewal date, so there's time for me to process it. I'll confirm once it's done. If you think I've made a mistake, for example if I haven't processed a cancellation you sent in time, tell me and I'll sort it out.

3 and 12 month memberships don't renew, so there's nothing to cancel. They simply end when your months are up.

Refunds

If you sign up and you're not a Vedic meditator who has received a mantra, no refund will be offered.

Once you've paid, I don't offer refunds if you change your mind, in line with the rest of these terms. That includes if you forget to cancel a monthly membership before your renewal date. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law stay exactly as they are. If I can't provide Bite Sized Wisdom as described, or there's a major failure, you may be entitled to a refund for the unused part. If I end Bite Sized Wisdom, I'll refund the unused part of what you've paid.

Your voice notes

When you join, you get a personal, non-transferable licence to listen to the voice notes for your own wellbeing. Please don't forward, share, record, copy, repost or sell the voice notes, and don't use them to teach others or run your own programs. They belong to me. You're welcome to share a short quote with credit.

The same goes for the group meditations. Please don't record them, or share the link to join them.

WhatsApp and your privacy

Bite Sized Wisdom is delivered through a WhatsApp group. WhatsApp is run by Meta and has its own terms and privacy policy. I'm not responsible for how WhatsApp works.

I'll use your phone number to add you to the group and to look after your membership. Depending on your WhatsApp settings, other members of the group may be able to see your name, photo and phone number. If that's a concern, please talk to me before you join. My Privacy Policy explains how I look after your personal information.

Questions and the group

You're welcome to send in questions to help shape what I talk about. I might answer your question, or a theme from it, in a voice note or at a group meditation. I won't use your name without your permission. The voice notes and group meditations are general teachings, not personal advice, and I can't promise to answer every question.

In the WhatsApp group and at group meditations, the same care applies as in the room. No harassment, hate, spam or selling, and no sharing other members' stories or details outside the group. If someone harasses or threatens others, or keeps disrupting the group after I've raised it with them, I may remove them. Where that happens, I'll refund the unused part of what they've paid, less any costs I can't recover.

If Bite Sized Wisdom changes

How I run Bite Sized Wisdom, including the monthly themes, how many voice notes I send or how long they are, may change over time. If a change is significant, I'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you're a monthly member, you can cancel before then without penalty. If you've paid upfront for 3 or 12 months, you can choose to leave, and I'll refund the unused months.

Bite Sized Wisdom isn't medical, psychological or physiotherapy advice. Please see "Your health comes first" above, and if you're in crisis or feel unsafe, please don't wait for the next voice note.

1:1 coaching and mentoring sessions

These are the extra terms for 1:1 coaching and mentoring sessions. They sit alongside the rest of these terms, and if the two ever differ, these ones apply to 1:1 sessions.

What it is

A 1:1 coaching and mentoring session is a private, 60 minute conversation between you and me. It's held online by video call, unless we agree something different. I'll ask questions, share what I know, and help you find clear next steps that fit your life. Sessions are personalised to you, and are for adults aged 18 and over.

Coaching, not treatment

1:1 sessions are a coaching and mentoring service. They aren't therapy, counselling, physiotherapy or medical treatment, and I don't diagnose, assess or treat any condition. No physiotherapist and patient relationship is created. Nothing I say in a session is medical, psychological or physiotherapy advice, and it isn't a replacement for care from your own health professionals. Please see "Your health comes first" above.

Because 1:1 sessions aren't a health service, they aren't eligible for private health insurance rebates, and physiotherapy funding can't be used to pay for them.

If you're in crisis or feel unsafe, please don't wait for our session. Emergency: 000. Lifeline: 13 11 14 (24 hours).

Price and paying

A 1:1 session costs $220 AUD, paid in full online when you book. It's a single payment. There's no subscription, and nothing renews. Payments are made through Kajabi, using Stripe. After you've paid, you'll be taken to a page with your link to book a time.

Booking your session

Your payment gives you one 60 minute session. Please book it within 12 months of paying. You choose a time that suits you from my calendar, and your session is confirmed once you've booked it. If you can't find a time that suits you, you can send me your preferred times and your time zone from the booking page, and I'll email you back with a time that works.

Before your session, I'll send you a short questionnaire. Your answers help me prepare. Please answer honestly, and share only what you're comfortable sharing.

Changing or cancelling

You can change your session time at no cost, as long as you let me know at least 24 hours before it starts. Use the link in your booking confirmation, or email me at hello@jocelynlea.com.

If you cancel, or ask to change your time, with less than 24 hours' notice, or you don't show up, the session counts as used. I don't offer a refund or a new time in that case. But life happens. If something unexpected comes up, like an illness or an emergency, please tell me as soon as you can, and I'll do my best to find you another time.

If I need to change your session, I'll let you know as early as I can and offer you a new time. If we can't find one that works for you, I'll refund your payment in full.

Refunds

Once you've paid, I don't offer refunds if you change your mind, in line with the rest of these terms. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law stay exactly as they are. If I can't provide your session as described, or there's a major failure, you may be entitled to a refund.

A series of sessions

If you'd like to book a series of sessions, please contact me directly at hello@jocelynlea.com to talk through your options. The minimum series size is 3 months. A series is arranged and priced separately, and I'll confirm the details with you before you pay.

Confidentiality and privacy

What you share with me in a session stays between us. The only exceptions are if I believe someone is at serious risk of harm, or if the law requires me to share it. I may make brief notes to help me support you, and I'll look after them as explained in my Privacy Policy.

I use Calendly to book sessions, Google Meet for video calls, and Google Forms for the questionnaire. Each has its own terms and privacy policy, and I'm not responsible for how they work. Please don't record a session unless we've both agreed to it first.

Your part

To get the most from your session, please join from somewhere private and comfortable, with a reliable internet connection. Please don't join under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The same care applies as in the room: be kind, and respect each other's boundaries. If someone harasses or threatens others, or keeps disrupting a session after I've raised it with them, I may end it.

What I'm not promising

A session is a conversation, and what you do afterwards is up to you. I'll show up with care, knowledge and experience, but I can't promise any particular result.

Your session materials

Anything I share with you after a session, like notes or resources, is for your own use. Please don't share, copy or sell it. It belongs to me.

If 1:1 sessions change

How I run 1:1 sessions, including the length and the price, may change over time. Any change won't affect a session you've already paid for.

What's mine

Everything on this website and in my courses and programs belongs to me, or is used with permission. That includes the words, audio, photos, illustrations, my name and my logo.

You're welcome to share a link, or a short quote with credit. Please don't copy, republish or sell my work without asking first.

Your story

If you share a kind word about your experience, I'll only use it with your written permission. You choose how you're named, and you can change your mind at any time. My Privacy Policy explains more.

What I'm not promising

I'll show up with care, knowledge and experience. But everyone's experience of meditation is different, and I can't promise any particular result.

Stories shared by students are their own experience. They're not a guarantee of yours.

Liability

I'll provide my services with due care and skill. Beyond the guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, and to the extent the law allows:

  • I'm not responsible for loss caused by something outside my reasonable control, or by you not following these terms or my reasonable guidance
  • I'm not responsible for loss that wasn't reasonably foreseeable

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

You're responsible for your own choices, including how and when you practise.

If something doesn't feel right

Please tell me. Email me at hello@jocelynlea.com and I'll reply within 3 working days. I'll listen, and we'll work out a fair way forward together. Anything you raise is kept confidential.

If we can't resolve it together, you can contact Consumer Affairs in your state or territory, such as NT Consumer Affairs or Consumer Protection WA.

The website itself

I do my best to keep this site accurate and running smoothly. Sometimes there'll be a typo, a broken link or a little downtime. Course dates and prices are confirmed when you book.

Links to other websites, like Calendly or Instagram, are there for convenience. Those sites have their own terms, and I'm not responsible for their content.

Your privacy

How I look after your personal information is explained in my Privacy Policy. How this site uses cookies is explained in my Cookie Policy.

Which laws apply

These terms are governed by the laws of the Northern Territory, Australia. If we ever disagree, I'd love for us to talk it through first. If we can't sort it out together, either of us can take it to a court or tribunal with jurisdiction, in the Northern Territory or where you live.

If these terms change

I may update these terms from time to time, and the date at the top will change when I do. Bookings and purchases you've already made stay covered by the terms in place when you made them.

For anything ongoing, like a membership, I'll email you at least 30 days before a significant change takes effect, and you can cancel before then without penalty.

The fine print

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If I don't enforce a term straight away, I haven't given up the right to rely on it later.
